To encourage the interaction between strangers and make technology more approachable. Our group from Major Studio class created this installation: Love Circuit. As we feel New York City is such a great city, but often time it gives people a cold and distanced feelings. We wanted to use technology to bring up interactions between strangers and landed our concept on creating a human circuit at a public place. We set up a giant heart with built-in LED strips to give people a warm feeling and to be more friendly to public at Washington Square Park. With the help of Noise Maker board from Gadgiteration at Parsons DT, we made a human circuit that enforce two strangers to hold their hands in oder to close the circuit and trigger the sounds were pre-loaded. The outcome was great as it really brought great moments and fun interactions to people at the square.
